Kaizer Chiefs Have Been Beaten By Orlando Pirates & Mamelodi Sundowns Recently

Kaizer Chiefs have had a quiet few weeks as they look to bolster both their technical team and playing personnel, and they have already missed out on several reported targets.
Click through the gallery above to see Chiefs’ missed signings
The Amakhosi faithful were promised a complete overhaul at the club after going three seasons without a trophy for the first time in their history, although as things stand there has been no official word on any ins or outs at Naturena.
Chiefs have been linked with numerous players who they are believed to have been pursuing and both Orlando Pirates as well as Mamelodi Sundowns have pipped them to the post with several players.
The likes of Andile Jali, Vincent Pule and Meshack Maphangule were all on the Amakhosi’s radar as they plotted the way forward for their club, although they have since signed for Masandawana and the Buccaneers respectively. Meanwhile, Patrice Carteron, a reported coaching target, is set for Al Ahly in Egypt.
Now, with Chiefs also competing with their rivals for the signature of Mosa Lebusa at Ajax, they will be eager to make sure that they don’t miss out once again, although it is thought that they are moving quickly to tie up a deal with Madagascan international, Andriamirado ‘Dux’ Hasina Andrianarimanana.
Do You Think Chiefs Should Have Pushed Harder For Andile Jali?

Orlando Pirates were an improved side during the 2017/18 season as they competed for the most coveted trophy in the country, the Premier Soccer League (PSL) title.

The Buccaneers had to settle for the number two spot after Mamelodi Sundowns beat them to the trophy and subsequently qualified for next season’s Caf Champions League as a consolation prize.

Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has stated that they will have to make changes to the squad as they are set to compete in four competitions (League, Nedbank Cup, Telkom Knockout Cup and MTN8 Cup) next season.

We take a look at the players who should stay and leave ahead of the July-August transfer window:
Players who should leave Pirates:
Jackson Mabokgwane

The 30-year-old was given enough time to make Pirates’ number one spot his own, but he failed to do so as he kept making mistakes and he was dropped. The error-ridden goalkeeper looks set to be offloaded by the club this winter.

Wayne Sandilands

The experienced goalkeeper was also dropped by Micho after making some costly mistakes. The 34-year-old is slowly declining and he should make way for a new and young goalkeeper prior to the new campaign.

Marc Van Heerden

The former South Africa youth international faced stiff competition in the left-back position and he fell further down the pecking order following the arrival of Phetso Maphanga in January 2018. The 30-year-old is destined to leave the Buccaneers in the off season.

Isaa Sarr

The 30-year-old central midfielder found it difficult to break into Bucs’ match-day squads following Sredojevic’s arrival at the Houghton-based club. The Senegal international will want to play regularly and he is set to leave the Buccaneers.

Thamsanqa Gabuza

The hard-running marksman is another player, who was given a fair chance to prove himself by Sredojevic. However, the 30-year-old struggled for form, and with Thabiso Kutumela set to return from a long-term injury next season, it would be better for Gabuza to leave Bucs.

Ayanda Nkosi

The 25-year-old striker was surprisingly signed by Pirates from Free State Stars prior to the 2016/17 season and he never proved himself at the Soweto giants. The former Maritzburg United marksman is expected to be offloaded by the Buccaneers.

Players who should stay at Pirates:

Happy Jele

The veteran defender reclaimed his place in the Bucs starting line-up midway through the season and he was one of the key players as the team pushed for the league title. His experience will be important during Pirates’ 2018/19 Caf Champions League campaign.

Musa Nyatama

The veteran campaigner established himself as one of Pirates’ most important players after joining the club from Bloemfontein Celtic. The 30-year-old will be looking to maintain his excellent displays for Bucs in his second campaign with the club.

Riyaad Norodien

The skillful winger is another playe, who struggled with injuries at Bucs last season, but he did relatively well at Platinum Stars on loan from the Soweto giants in the second round. The 23-year-old will be keen to stay injury free and establish himself as a key player at Pirates.

Thamsanqa Sangweni

The midfielder remains a highly-rated player despite having struggled for game time in his first season with Bucs. The 28-year-old will have to save his Pirates career in pre-season.

Players who should be loaned out:

Siphumelele Mbulu

The holding midfielder is a very promising player, but he faces stiff competition in central midfield from Nyatama, Mlambo and Munetsi. The 19-year-old player would benefit from a loan spell at another PSL club.

Lyle Foster

The teenage striker is a player with a lot of potential having caught the eye in his first season in the top flight league. But a loan spell at a PSL club would do the 18-year-old forward a world of good next season.

Babes Wodumo is still mine – Mampintsha

An unrepentant Mampintsha says he is still in love with Babes Wodumo and wants to marry her despite allegations of assault level-
led against him.

“I love Babes wholeheartedly. I did not even know that she had dumped me, I heard from you [Metro FM] on Friday. That is why I [was engaged to] her because I wanted to take our love to the next level,” he said in Zulu on Metro FM yesterday. During a live broadcast of The Drive on Friday with hosts Mo Flava and Masechaba Ndlovu, Mampintsha – real name Mandla Maphumulo – was accused of physically abusing Babes.

Babes said she broke up with the music boss in March after he had allegedly punched and kicked her to an extent of sustaining a broken leg at some point.

The Wololo hitmaker, real name Bongekile Simelane, said she had moved on.

Mampintsha lost it several times during the interview yesterday and charged at Ndlovu, accusing her of meddling in his relationship.

He insisted that his relationship problems with Simelane were “no different from everyone else’s”.

“Ever since I started dating Babes there has been fights. I have been fighting for Babes and there are bigger problems than these. People are trying to ruin my name,” he added.

The interview was marred by on-and-off rantings from Mampintsha and dismissive undertones as he indirectly ignored questions.

Mampintsha denied abusing Babes and said everything was exaggerated by third

“There were no punches involved or breaking of legs, hence you hear people asking where are pictures and where are medical records … I am also shocked. Babes and I come a very long way. Babes was given to me by God,” he said, sounding rather delusional.

“I am shocked that it’s other people who are talking on behalf of Babes. If I had done what is said I did I am sure there would be pictures posted and we would have broken up a long time ago. We have our problems,” he insisted.

Dineo vs Thakgalo | Who does Katlego Danke think is her most devious role?

Katlego Danke’s love for acting shows in her work.

Just as peeps born in the 90s are claiming Ma Winnie as the mother of the nation, they know that the millennials consider Zodwa Wabantu as their mother, in soapville we know Katlego Danke as Dineo Mashaba but the 2000s only know Thakgalo…

But who’s the Queen Bee in being mean?

But who’s the Queen Bee in being mean?

In an interview with TshisaLIVE, Katlego went down memory lane at the mention of her popular Generations’ character Dineo Mashaba. The role, which made Katlego a household name, is one of the most iconic roles she’s played but said that her recent role of Thakgalo on Isidingo is on the same level.

“Some people still call me Dineo, but I’ve had a fair – and growing – share of people that call me Thakgalo when they meet me. I think its maybe about 50/50 now, as the people have embraced Isidingo’s Thakgalo and seem to love her just as much as Dineo if not more.”

For all the 2000s who have no recollection of who Dineo was… well we could tell you but this little video clip might be all you need to see the greatness.

After Katlego left Generations, she took a three-year break from acting to focus on her family and other interests.

However, her comeback as Thakgalo has confirmed that her fire never died and she explained why.

“Acting requires a lot out of a person. What I’ve had to learn is one needs to constantly continue to search for the inner motivation to keep the spark alive.  Sometimes its really hard, just like any other job or a relationship… or anything in life really. You lose that initial love you had as time goes by and its up to you to work on re-igniting it.”

In case you haven’t seen the fire that she speaks of, watch the flame below:

Now, we are sure that whether you are a 90s or a 2000s kid, you can see that there’s no character to big for the petite actress.

But what about that Queen Bee meanie trophy? Who does she thinks is more evil?

Katlego said she couldn’t decide which of the character had more of  the cruella vibe but she said despite Dineo’s legendary evil acts, it seems Thakgalo was fast closing in on her.

So… Thakgalo might just be the one.

A source close to Kelly Khumalo has slammed a report in Drum magazine claiming she is getting married.

A source close to Kelly Khumalo has slammed a report in Drum magazine claiming she is getting married.

Kelly Khumalo has apparently turned to her legal team for advice over a magazine report which claimed she was planning to get married in 2019, a source close to the singer has told TshisaLIVE.

On Thursday afternoon Drum magazine published an article on its website, claiming that plans were underway for Kelly’s wedding in 2019.

“My a** is taken, it belongs to someone – I’m not single anymore. I’m planning to have my wedding next year October. I have already decided on the type of dress that I would like – something very short with cowboy boots,” the publication quoted Kelly as saying.

The report went on to add that Kelly had apparently already decided on a wedding dress and that she wanted a private ceremony.

An insider close to the situation dismissed the claims, saying that Kelly allegedly did not make the comments.

“Kelly did not make those comments and her management has already contacted Drum about retracting the article,” said the insider.

The insider added that Kelly’s team was in full “crisis mode” and had already spoken to their lawyers.

Apparently Kelly is not impressed with the rumour and wants everything done to rectify the situation.

When contacted by TshisaLIVE, Kelly’s team declined to comment on the matter.

Several attempts to contact Drum magazine were unsuccessful at the time of publishing this article.
